3:30pm - 5:30pm: Data Science Discussion with Tech Titans Tech Titans, The Technology Association for North Texas, in cooperation with Capital One will conduct a data science reverse pitch event on Tuesday, November 1st, during Dallas Techweek. The event will feature a keynote address by Romelia Flores, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Master Inventor at IBM Global Solution Center speaking on IBM’s data science initiatives including Watson cognitive technology. Following Ms. Flores’ remarks, a distinguished panel of data science experts will discuss their organization’s initiatives in big-data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Moderator Dave Copps, CEO and Founder of Brainspace will pose questions to panelists Akhil Uniyal, Global Head-Digital Transformation at Dell, Frank Sepulveda, data scientist at Pioneer Natural Resources, David Whiting , Head of Data Science Analysis-Financial Services at Capital One and Kevin Hunt, Director of Biopharmaceutical Product Development and Head of Translational Science at UT Southwester about their big data initiatives, what kind of challenges are they facing, trends they are seeing in the industry, and how the DFW innovation ecosystem can work together to tackle these problems.
